Bodies in Fusion: Circus and Glass as Embodied Practices
Currently we are interested in exploring and making visible two artistic disciplines, circus language and glassmaking. They are two art forms that are based on practice. Physics (the exact temperature, precise timing and gestures), or physical conditions (muscles, flexibility, heart beat) are essential for the shape that the glass or circus work will take during the process.
At the same time, research is very important in our work. The “trial and error”, following the body in a mutual affection with the object and returning to the table to analyze. Experiment with the materials and create a dramaturgy of the body to develop a singular circus language.
